ID request, never seen these before
    #26992698 - 10/19/20 10:46 AM (3 years, 3 months ago)

Okay, so I've seen just about every lookalike under the sun for P.cyanescens and Pan cyans.

Now, I went to one of the trails I walked along, and these caught my eye a few days ago. I picked them, did a spore print on one, turned purple black, and I noticed bruising went straight to black when I scored it with a knife (after a few minutes)

Now these same ones pop up. I don't have the picture of the ones I picked still in the ground, they were massive and probably full bodied fruits.

But, here's all the pictures I took. I still have the shroomies chilling on resume paper since I don't have A4 paper lying around, or decent paper. Will do spore print soon. For now, here:

I haven't washed them at all. Some are bruising blue on edges or look like blue is shining through the caps a bit?

Some bruise straight to black, which I have had cyans picked by a mate that turned pure black when we dried them lol. Best 2.5g dried of my life, that was insanely potent. Anyway, those were confirmed. Here are my findings.

Habitat: Lots of wet dead/decaying wood life, mostly alder, maple, and decaying brush--I booked it after hacking the stems with my knife really fast, because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. An unidentified...mushroom, that I've never seen growing before. Might be active, might not, but they looked almost identical to ones I saw in the pnw actives forum.

Also habitat: https://ibb.co/tBQMk8R

Edit: pictures work but they're bb links :\

Damnit, lol, I think you're right about the genus. Shucks...I got excited when one of them looked like it had a bit of blue on it.

I shall...look in a different spot again, hopefully tomorrow or sometime soon...it better rain tonight lol

The bluish ones, this collection

are a Stropharia species, Stropharia pseudocyanea, is my guess.

If the ones pictured in situ are the same as the other ones in your collection they are a Hypholoma species. If you saw bluish greenish on them then they are Hypholoma fasciculare.

could be, however I'm seeing more yellow and not the Stropharia blue but Op did say there was blue so you're probably right on that ID.

Only detecting brown to rust brown spores, Not the seeing purple brown that you would see if it was H. faciculare but yes in situ pics would help determine.
