Hello Everyone, I just wanted to briefly announce the arrival of a new book on the Fly Agaric, which will be published this Halloween! The book is an edited volume that I've been working on for the last several years and which features chapters written by a variety of scholars, explorers, and authors of various backgrounds. The book clocks in at over 500 pages and features a field guide to psychoactive Amanita in North America, among other offerings. In any event, I hope this book will add to the ongoing discussions, here and elsewhere, regarding this remarkable fungus.
I am looking forward to your book. I am interested in the Amanita Muscaria but most information seems to be about the European variety. I sometimes see specimens I think are North American Fly Agaric but the main field guide has lots of leeway built in on identification-by-sight techniques. Thanks, Researcher !
