Not sure on the specifics, but cannabinoids and plastic exchange molecules on contact so I'll stick to glass as much as possible. If you want fresh glass with sealing lids then I would recommend checking out ULINE and getting 1gal jars. Picked up 20 wide mouthed with metal lids that seal to do Mimosa work. Will definitely get another load for herb someday...

You're going to extract from 20 jars at once? damn son. naphtha doesn't leech hdpe y'know. A lot of the larger totes in big stores are ppe/ldpe, but rubbermaid roughneck brand makes a 50gal hdpe.

It doesn't seal but if you can give up your bathroom for a few days, fits nicely in a bathtub. Then you can run the bathroom fan and heat up the tub with a bucket heater. Works great for dry teks that don't need to be sloshed around in a jar.

Outdoor auto flower. No training or anything fancy. Just nutrients, water, and sun. I forgot the strain. Almost ready to be cut!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.....
I think I'm just going to stick with glass jars. A few dozen quart and 1/2 gallon size jars should be enough to store most of my herb.
I'm trimming and storing only my tops and most prime buds, everything else will be going into hash and edibles...so that will save me some space and $ on storage containers.
For curing the herb from my big plants I think I'm going to use brown paper grocery bags. IIRC I've heard about people using paper bags for curing, seems like a cheap option...Filling the bags up 1/4 to 1/3 of the way with the top rolled down & folded closed. I feel that should slow the drying down and allow the herb to cure a bit. After spending some time in those bags I'll then trim, the tops will go into jars for storage and everything else will go into hash or edibles/infused oils.

I just got in a Sour Livers seed packet today, and a couple days ago I got a package with 4 different strains , and I'm still waiting on a couple . It's all gonna go under the Xmas tree

Nope, you can't. You can check the rules if you want. It's the reason you see everyone state a after the strain name when you-know-who is involved. IIRC it has something to do with the shroomery sponsors...

That's the way I always looked at it too....
One of the breeders I grew seeds from this time around is "Equilibrium Genetics", but they're not a vendor and they don't sell seeds. I got the seeds from a weed store that I walked into.

Today is week 10 day 1. At this point I am just working on flushing and ripening the buds up. Once the trichs are where I want them, I will give them their 3-5 days in the dark to reduce nutes in the buds(plants store their nutes in the roots when in dark period, so this helps keep nutes out of what I cut off. It also helps to increase a little late resin production, as well as help start killing off the chlorophyll, for a smoother smoke.

Those buds are looking pretty chunky & fat for indoor  .
What strain? What sort of aroma/essence does it have?

I really like the parents/genetics behind that one, both of those parents are varieties I enjoy a lot.
I was hoping the "Sour D X Lemon Kush" I grew this year was going to have a bit of that classic Kush/OG essence to it but it doesn't at all. Next time around I really want to grow one of the classic OGs (Larry, Tahoe, SFV, Fire, Rascal, etc etc etc..).
I looove that earthy, skunky, rubber, pinesol, jet fuel essence of an OG. To me that's like the quintessential "dank weed" essence.
The "Lemon Wookie Glue" I grew has some of it going on (lemon, pine, gas), but not quite like an OG.

Well the middle 4 plants are White Widow and the 12 around the outside are critical. Both varieties are giving a dank fruity smell.
