It is official. I suck at finding Cyans - in Seattle

Been looking for three autumns - have yet to find them.  So aggravating.  Searched what I suspect is the most likely park - found thousands of mushrooms, but none of them were cyans.  Found the same ones I found last year, and the year before that.  Found what I believe to be galerinas.  Found some really orange ones with white stalks that don't bruise and the gills don't attach to the stipe.  Nothing is the *right* color brown or quite the right shape.

Literally need 3 of the buggers to start my own patch.

Aggravated.  Venting.  :P

If you're finding thousands of mushrooms you're probably not looking for cyans in the right place. I hope that when you say park you're not going deep into the woods and searching inside the bushes :smile2:

Go back to pictures of the right habitat and keep trying, they're literally everywhere they should be.

I try to not look too conspicuous, and mostly stick to the trails to "walk my dog"
