Spawning grain jars straight from the jar?

So I really don’t care about the yield .. as much as I do about producing mushrooms ... and at this point I’ve lost more than I have gained ... so would it be wise to spawn straight from the jar ? I don’t want to pour it out into a different container and then it stalls completely for some reason ... I’m thinking just ooo the lid, put some dank coir ok top.. and wait ?

I am no expert but have several successful grows under my belt and that does not sound like a good idea. I have done brf/verm invitro but dont remember hearing anyone doing it with wbs. If it does produce I doubt it will be worth the time and effort.

works great if you have an iffy jar. Just open it up, put some hydrated coir on top, and stick a ziplock bag over the top with a couple holes cut in it.

Assuming you mean fruit straight from the jar?
That's not gonna help. If you're having contamination spawning to bulk, it's probably because your spawn is contaminated to begin with. Fruiting from the jar won't help this.
The exposure it gets to air isn't what's allowing the contamination to take hold, it's in your grain already. (in most cases)

Then yeah, I generally do it straight from the jar... what do you do, pour 'em in a cereal box first?

Sorry it's just hard to help when I think we're getting terms confused here. When you say you're just trying to spawn in general, spawn to what?
Spawning is putting spawn (grain) in with a substrate.
Or you can fruit from spawn alone, from jars, if that's what you're trying to do. I'm just not sure what you're doing.

Sure you can fruit from the jar, but the main reason a substrate is used is to provide something that holds moisture for the myc to run through. So your best bet would be to mix up IN the jar if you wanted to keep it in the jar for some reason. But at that point, why not just spawn it to another container?
You can do your plan, but it's far from ideal (which I'm sure you know). It may net a couple of fruits but I'd just do a normal spawn if you already have coir prepped anyway. The only thing you'd lose is said coir and you'd have 2 more things to clean...
