Ps Serbica in Germany?
    #26984759 - 10/14/20 09:24 AM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Habitat:
In forest debris with some grass, some leaf debris, near hardwood trees (birch, beech) and near pond.  Area is generally damp.  Area is nature preserve, no farm manure/poop at all, nor woodchips.  In the state of NRW, northern section.

Gills: color is very dark brown-purple? attachment is adnate to adnexed

Stem:
Length about 9cm, diameter about 5mm, color is white to tan at base, hollow

Cap:
Diameter about 3cm, color is tan with dark edges, texture is dryish and smooth.  hygrophanous

Spore print color:
very dark purple brown, but print was not heavy

Bruising:
did not bruise, tested base of stem

Other information:
little to no smell.  Ps semilancetae, deconica, paneolus, psathyrella found in this area.  This specimen was found completely alone in a spot I visit frequently

I'm guessing your saying that because this sample isn't blueing, but my impression is that there are several psilocybe that don't bruise.

Any other people want to weigh in?

I think this sample might match Ps. serbica var arcana

Sorry no, not because of no blueing it just doesn't look like a psilocybe, the way the stem looks
especially in you last image (was it brittle?) and the cap/gills looks off as well, over all the colors are not right, etc.

Your specimen and the photo you have linked side by side:

Just my 2 cents happy for someone else to correct me if I'm wrong......

also have you had a look at this:

Thanks for the response!  I agree, they aren't exact matches, but close enough to be confusing.  I also can't find any other comparable mushrooms.  About the stem - it wasn't as brittle as many psathyrella, but it didn't feel as sturdy as a psilocybe...
