found these earlier today in the north of england, atop of a grassy hill, lots of cow dung around, after a few rainy days, seemingly typical spore print colour between jet black & dark purple, fairly confident they are libs but second opinion is always preferred - http://imgur.com/gallery/Cy6B89A

I think most are libs buddy, 31 looks a bit off, but to be fair your picture quality is rather poor, could do with better focus, lighting and angles to get an accurate id.

thankyou for the reply, sorry about the poor picture quality, fully agree with you honestly. here's a picture of 31, in the original picture the cap definitely did look very rounded, think it was just the angle & the lighting, even when dried they nipple is very prominent, but do know how difficult it is to identify them when dry.

It could very well be a lib, I wouldn't like to say it definitely is though.
If its not a lib, its most likely an inactive panaeolus or something similar. I can see that it has dark gills on the picture so its probably lib/pan or psathyrella/corprinoid. Again sorry I couldn't identify properly.

all good, thankyou though, had been struggling to get any replies at all so your input definitely helps, don't mind airing on the side of caution & throwing 31 out since I didn't even expect to find any, let alone 40+ in one day.

I personally would sacrifice the one, like you said, you still have 39 left and that is a nice enough dose with low tolerance anyway.
Now you have found a spot, if its easily accessible, give it a check at least once a week, you will soon have a nice stash building up. My local spot (5 minute walk) produces about 20-30 caps a week, over the season i can collect 200-300 libs, which for me is enough for my years supply these days. Any excess I find I gift to friends.
Yeah, sometimes you can wait forever for a reply on here, its worth it though as most people who comment are knowledgeable and experienced.

exactly, better to air on the side of caution honestly, plus planning on using them at fairly low doses for mostly therapeutic reasons, so definitely enough left.
ayyy sounds like you've got a good spot, the spot I found is roughly around a 40 minute walk away, however, definitely not a stranger to long walks to these fields so don't really mind too much, like you said, once a week for a few weeks & it'll be hundreds in no time at all.
completely agree, people on here & reddit too.
