Hey guys!
I hope everyone is well. My first grow has been set to fruiting conditions for about a week, and I've had a yellowish color growing on top of the substrate mostly in the corners, with one of the corners producing this strange blue-grey stuff. I don't smell anything too crazy, and I did the research on the contamination thread, but I'm still unsure if it is "bruising" or trich.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did my first grow without the shroomery community and I haz regerts. Next attempt will be utilizing Bod's Easy AF Tek.
Thank you for your help and consideration.
~Glas
P.S. I believe where I went wrong was with the substrate. I didn't measure anything out, I chopped off some bits of a 10 lb. brick of coir, threw in a few cup measures of verm, and boiled about 2 gallons of water, dumped it in, and there was 0 water leftover and there was WAY too much substrate made. Being new and excited is okay, but I should have taken the time to break up the pieces of coir into a more powdered form so I could sufficiently measure it, or weigh it out.

Well you are in the right place now. Pick a tek you like and follow it to the T, and mush you shall have my friend.

THANK YOU I knew I had fucked up the substrate. Now I know exactly why field capacity is so damn important. Next time I'll be measuring everything out exactly.
Thanks y'all. Let it be known that this here is why you ensure adequate field capacity. That means if you have to SQUUZE THE LIFE out of your substrate to get some drops or stream, that's a problem.
