That looks like what all my perspective patches have looked. Bare. Except for a bunch of non actives.
I just moved back though so no way to tell if they produced recently, just going off how I used to find them.

save stembutts in a little tacklebox or something in the fridge and take it with you when you go hunting and plant them everywhere. the myc can last about a week in the fridge

Time to post this age-old classic warning
DO NOT HUNT AT CAPE DISSAPOINTMENT
or any well-known park
Topography extends outside of ranger jurisdiction and you are only opening yourself up for an easy felony
Please be safe and be kind

To think our knowledge of the universe is anything near complete is as arrogant as saying we know what created it. Oh I'm all about cultivating patches but for that to happen I need to find some first! Early times though.

So I went to Cape Disappointment looking for azzies, not to pick em. We went camping lol. This was my first time searching for azzies. I will be going down past seaside next month equipped with more knowledge.. If I would have found azzies at cape disappointment I would have admired only. Hunting is a discreet game. It's known that area is unsafe for sure but so are many areas in PNW.

there is still a small culture of secretive shroomers but a lot of newcomers aren't discreet at all. i feel like some people endanger the community by being too obvious in the patch and telling all their friends and posting locatiins on the internet. major metro areas is ok but it seems a little disrespectful to name specific places as it might draw a lot of attention there. as mr piggy once scolded me, the info is out there, let them find it on their own

I was feeling friendly one of these days and walked a stranger to a not so obvious patch. He was checking a place he said he saw them growing last year but it was just a very obvious place in a path of wood chips. So I walked him to this kinda secret spot after some chit chat conversation that made it obvious what he was looking for. He immediately spotted the cyans and he was pretty coherent so I didn't feel bad about it. So far I can tell he did not come back to destroy it and he's probably just waiting for them to fully mature like I was.
That might be the last time I did this though. I saw so many people clueless people looking for them these days. In the city I used to live in it was basically only me going around with my earphones. It's the first time I see people who almost look like they've been on meth for a week looking for mushrooms almost like they could grow straight up from a pepsi can lol

Think I might have picked too many, perhaps maybe I should put some back.

This pic is from 2018 but if pictures like this are rare I can search thru my phone for more old ones or go Out and take new.
