Possible Weilii patch in North GA, USA? (Warning: Goo)
    #26983831 - 10/13/20 06:21 PM (3 years, 3 months ago)

To preface, my main question is do these look like they could be actives based on the bruising? They are extremely decayed so it's hard to tell, or even get much info for ID.

These were found on a small, shaded grassy strip next to the road in an older business park. It's hard to tell much as they're mostly goo...the upturned one is the only one I could even identify as having gills, which seem very light brown/beige, but hard to say anything about attachment.

The bruising looks near black, but does seem to have a blue/green tinge. I would write a lot of it off to decay, but one stem does show bright blue (almost like oxidized copper)bruising.

This is my first season so I don't have much to reference, but if this is a potential Weilii spot I'd like to keep an eye on it. There were very heavy rains last Saturday and Sunday after a bit of a cooler, dry spell - but it seems unlikely these would have grown this big and decayed this much in that span of time, right?

Those stems dont look typical of a psilocybe species, I'd see if you can find some fresh ones as those are trash even if they psychedelic. Not fit for consumption either way
