3 Out of 12 BRF jars succeeding

So I really don't know what happened here. I used MS from a reliable vendor, PEU and it took almost a week for the 1st jar to start germinating. It's been about 18 days pushing 19 and only 3 jars have started growing. The interesting thing is the ones that are growing are very nice, very rhizomorphic.
I guess this is what people mean by MS being crapshoots. However, it looks like the 1st jar is definitely going to finish a lot sooner than the other 2. What can I really even do with 3 half-pint jars anyway besides cakes? I really never had any luck with shoeboxes either. Not any canopies anyhow.
Any advice on this situation would be helpful. Thank you. Apologies if this is simple impatience as I'm still relearning things and I had never experienced this issue before.

Can you post some pics? I don't know your skill level but could you see the spores in the syringes? Did you use enough solution per jar? Is your brf at field capacity?

Dunno why, but I had rotten luck with BRFs too (and the broke boi tek). Ended up doing Spore Syringe to Liquid Culture and now inoculate Agar or grain masters from the liquid culture.
Much faster.
BTW I even failed at liquid culture to BRFs!

One way to ensure you have good inoculate is to make what I call a mycelium slurry.
Basically start spores on agar. When you have good growth and no contamination take a sterile syringe (in a SAB or under flowhood) and squirt some of the water onto the agar. Use the syringe tip to mix mycelium and water (and agar). Then suck the mixture back in the syringe. Wha... la....you have a liquid culture in a syringe.

I'm not sure pics are going to give you any more detail than I already have. There are no sigs of contams growing in the rest of the jars. Just no growth at all. The syringe was filled with clusters of spores which I shook up and made the entire syringe ink black, so I know lack of spores wasn't an issue. BRF is at field capacity and I used 1cc per jar 1/4cc per hole.

Yeah, my issue could just be dumb bad luck and for some reason, they just aren't going to germinate. Oh well, more annoying than anything.

Thanks for this tip. I'm waiting to have a little extra cash AND time to play with so I can order some proper agar and plates. Once I have those resources I already know half of any problems I've ever had will disappear. Do you have any suggestions other than cakes or a shoebox for spawning 3 cakes? Since unfortunately I guess that's how this one is going to turn out.

Just wondering if I should dump the rest of the jars and start over... Sucks I used a whole PEU syringe on that. Shame too because this is the species I was really hoping to succeed with but instead I got like 2 oz dry out of a GT grow.

Only 4 jars actually fully colonized in the end, and they're now ready to go. They are only half pint though so I don't have very much spawn.
Any advice on spawning these? No shoeboxes please. Should I just make cakes? (unfavorable option)
Again, I can't do shoeboxes. Every single time I've followed Bods easy asf shoebox tek, it fails for some reason.
Help required please, I believe they're beginning to pin invitro.

I liked fruiting cakes in a lidded tub, humidity-chamber style.
Hopefully you'll have fruits in a few weeks. Remember to take spore prints or a clone for your next grow!
