Possible Gymnopilus Luteus

Where does it grow?
In the woods on a down tree. The tree was so decomposed I could not make the type. Southern Pennsylvania.

Gills
Yellow/pale

Stem
Non hollow, 1.5”

Spore print color:
Yellow

Bruising:
Blue/green

Other information:
Yellow Mush Inside

Yellow insides

Do I eat them raw if I eat them? Do I eat them fresh or dried? This would be my first time munching on this type...

I'd normally cut the fresh gymns up into small pieces and then steep them in hot water for around 20-25 minutes, then strain
