Panaeolus cinctulus? Found close to Turin, Italy
    #26982836 - 10/13/20 07:03 AM (3 years, 3 months ago)

Habitat:
I found these in our apartment yard, the massively-overgrown lawn was mowed down and these bad boys have sprouted since.
There's been rain since the lawn was mowed but not much sun since.

Gills:
The gills seem to start light in color, I have one really young specimen where it's basically white, and gets to dark brown/blackish for the mature ones. Gills don't seem attached.

Stem:
About 4-5 cm tall, whitish, a bit of graininess but I don't know how to identify what's going on there.

Cap:
About 2-4 cm in diameter, younger ones are convex, older ones flatten out with gills sticking out more. From whitish to brownish.

Spore print color:

The spore print appears black to me!

Bruising:
I can't tell if there's any bruising. Excuse the noob, but where are you supposed to bruise it?

Other information:
Smells like mushrooms, tbh.

Pictures:

On top of a heater and with a recycled computer cooling fan, these guys dried up real quick..

The wet weight was about 10g. How strong of a trip would that make for one or split between two?

Thanks guys! I'm super happy to join you!

Not Panaeolus. Possibly a Psathyrella species.

Panaeolus cinctulus grows from horse manure.

Welcome to the Shroomery. :toast:
