Hi I just wanted confirmation on whether I have found liberty caps. Some if them in quite confident are but is there anything you can see that I should stay away from here and also what is the best way to store them?

you have a big mixed batch there. I see a few libs but, a lot of others too. Try and separate them into similar categories spread out on a piece of white paper and put numbers next to them that way we can help identify.

The 3 with the whitish curvy stems are libs (one in the midle and two on top right). The rest are innactive.

numbering the groups would help...I think your response is in reference to how you took the pic not how it is appearing in the thread.

Yes sorry I didn't know how to number and yes, I didn't expect the picture to appear rotated like that. My top right is top left. I tried to split them up into top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right and then one in the middle that looks like none of them

1, Panaeolus sp.
2. the top one looks like Protostrapharia, and the rest Psilocybe semilanceata
3. entoloma
4. conocybe
5. protostrapharia semiglobata
and lastly the one on the far left, I don't know.
Either way I know you are looking for libs, wait for a few other opinions I'm still getting familiar with lib identification.

Yes if correct only #2 is active (not including the one at the top of the #2 cluster).

Thank you. I searched Panaeolus and they looked similar to Panaeolus olivaceous which are said to have psilocybin or did you notice a particular type of panaeolus?

I can't tell what species... someone will chime in though. Maybe post some pics of just those mushrooms too.
What type of setting did you find all these in was it a well manicured lawn or a more country style field with animals grazing?

Is it best to eat as soon as possible (any active ones) or do you let them dry? Keeping them in a plastic container at the moment

Dry them because those four won't be enough to trip, you will need around 30-50 or 1.5-2.0g dried grams. As for drying spread out some news paper in a well ventilated place with alot of airflow and they will dry in a day or so. Store these once dried in a mason jar with some desiccant.

I usually eat them fresh though for full effect.
