P Sub Wood Lover Grow Attempt Getting Blue Mould

Just wondering if there is anyone that can assist with a Blue coloured mould issue growing on a 50/50 mix or hardwood chips and pine bark.
I originally inoculated bird seed grain with agar that was inoculated with P. Sub (Psilocybe Subaerginosa), the birdseed was well colonised and appeared to be clean of any contamination when I added this to the hardwood/ pine bark substrate just over 1x week ago.
The intention is to expand out the grain colonised mix into this substrate of pine bark and hardwood chips which I then want to transfer to an outdoor garden bed once the container is fully colonised.
I soaked the wood chips overnight and then drained them off until no water was dripping out (approx 3 hours). I then half filled the 10Lt tubes with the 50/50 substrate mix, added a layer or the inoculated birdseed then topped it off with another layer of 50/50 substrate and clipped the lids on.
The tubs are not airtight plus I have drilled 4x holes to the edges of the containers and covered the holes with Aquapore Tape.
I keep the tubs in my garage as we are heading into summer here and I’m worried the tubs will get too hot outside.
As you can see in the photos below the mycelium is starting to expand out onto some of the wood chips/ bark however the blue mould is also taking off. As mentioned above the colonised bird seen looked free of contamination when it was added to the substrate.
Admittedly I didn’t pasteurise or sterilise the substrate as I thought I had read on here for outdoor grows for wood lovers in particular this was not necessary.
I was broadly following along the lines of some of Olive’s experiments which he had done with wood lovers such as P Subs. The majority of what I have read indicated that he had not done any pasteurising or sterilisation on the substrates either. This is his thread below documenting his P Sub experiment and outdoor garden.

So my questions are;
1. should I have sterilised the substrate before putting into the tubs and adding a layer of the colonised grain ?
2. Or should I have actually mixed the grain evenly though the substrate in the tub ?
3. Or is this blue mould nothing to worry about for now and the mycelium will eventually dominate and take over ?
4. Or is there a lack of FAE that is causing the mould ?
If that is the case do I;
A. Leave the kids off and cover with cardboard ?
B. Just remove Aquapore tape from FAE holes ?
C. Just drill larger holes ?
D. Just lift the kids everyday and fan them ?
Additionally how often should I wet the substrate ? I do have some drainage holes as well in the bottom corners at one end so I can wet the substrate and put the tubs on an angle for a few hours to ensure they are well drained.
Thanks for reading, I know I have dumped allot of info and asked many questions, any feedback you may have would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know where to begin...the tiny holes with tape do nothing especially when the sub is covering them. Its totally molded out from a number of things. 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Hellll no 4. Yes option d if it wasnt moldy. You can let it go fo fun but....
5. How often shoukd you wet the substrate? If those chips were some dust and very small chips they should be soaked to capacity and misted lightly daily/as needed to promote microclimate. Side note it would take years for mycelium to colonize chunks of insterile chips like that. If your trying to grow mushrooms you shoukd read up a bit or just knock up a bag with a syringe to get the hang of it first.
Looks like your grain was colonized and strong though

I just realized your not trying to fruit haha. You dont need holes or anything for veg. Just keep moist clean and dark and in twmperature range.
If your colonizing mycelia to bury outdoors you dont need fae or anything tgats for fruiting cycle. You dont need wood chips either. Bury some with fully colonized clean substrate

Pasterize is a must or at least a good 30min boil of the wood chips like a big soup.
Its a total lost cause anyway bro you missed the natural fruiting season so unless you have a perfect 10-15c fridge to put them in for a month its never going to fruit.
P sub's is the devil to try and fruit. I've lost many a battle with them.

Thanks for the feedback Pretendhole, I’ll take it on board for sure.
I have played around with oyster mushrooms a little to find my mushroom feet and this is my first Grow like this. I was only trying to do what Olive had done. I thought I read that just putting out colonised grain mice and rats may get to it before it colonised the outdoor bed which is why I was going down this path.
Thank again for the feedback

Thanks Mtbromo, I’ll definitely do some boiling of the chips next time.
I knew I’d missed the boat this season for fruiting, I’m just trying to get a stack of wood chips/ bark colonised so it’s ready to fruit next autumn/winter.
Until I can get my hands on some P Cub spores I’m just giving this a crack, I have read their a tricky one to fruit but the fruits are really potent.
Thanks for the feedback

You can use wood pellets too... probably better

Ah ok, should I mix those with wood chips as well and sterilise or just the pellets ? Thanks Pretendhole

Colonize some brf cakes or grains
Get saw dust, pine animal bedding wood shavings, pine bark wood chips A few cups of soil,a few cups of water so its all damp not dripping wet, put it in a oven bag, simmer it for 1-3hours in a giant pot with a lid on it. Let it cool strain all the excess water out.
Mix all your spawn with the wood mix together in a massive tub or tray cover it with foil with a few tiny holes in it
Put it in a room that's 20-30C for about 4 to 6 weeks until its fully white (colonized ) then burry that shit outside in a shadey area a few inches under the ground, cover it in fresh woodchips and pine needles from a pine treat then let it chill until next winter.
