Cool project munch!!
Yeah you gotta optimize for either the wormy giant guys or printable caps, cant do both
It can be really tricky to get tamp caps yo mature to printability sometimes. What makes the biggest difference in my experience is light and fae. To get printable caps i crank both
Here are a few tamps and galindois (also tamps) fruited this way (for printable caps, not wormy high yields)

I had some issues with my tamp prints not germing after a while of sitting. I tried soft agar and hot pours as well as flooding and had no luck. I ended up adding a couple prints to a vial of sterile water with some pebbles to agitate when shaking to see if they would hydrate. To my surprise, they germinated in solution in about 7 days. You might give it a try.

Thanks for the germination tips! However, I may have something! its super tiny and hard to discern anything, but something is going on down there. Don't think its bacteria cause it would have shown up already it was. Will post an update in the AM with confirmation of germination or contamination. But this is growing right at the point where I inserted the xacto blade. If this isn't germ'ed, then I plan to do moistened sterile swabs, but the syringe idea sounded good too. I add vegetable glycerin to my syringes and it usually makes germ within a week, so that might be a good idea too. Anywho, check out this little patch of something that showed up between this morning and now. Sorry for the crap pic, hard to get it to focus. I'll break out my manual focus camera later tonight.
