Went out to hood canal and some logging trails. Found about 5lbs of Chantrells. Was hoping to find some wavy caps around the logging area and the cut wood but no luck.

I've never found actually while living here all my life.  Always had bad luck.  Is looking in the woods pretty difficult to find the wavy caps? should I focus on parks and such with wood chips?

Yes, they are hard to find in the woods, in my experience. Stick to parks with woodchip paths. Woodchips, woodchips, woodchips! Especially where people walk.

I found P. Stunzii in NE PDX in a public park today. First Stunzii I've ever found. Pretty stoked

Going back soon to get better pics

Yep. Bed areas with wood chips are a much safer bet.

Was on the hunt for some cyans, a local park of mine has a mile long stretch of old wood chips and blackberry bushes along a path, which I have checked the past 3 years with no sign of anything psilocybin. Lots of amanita patches under these trees though!  don’t know what type they are. Saw the biggest  doe I have ever seen  walking along the trees while bent down inspecting the amanita, we stared directly at each other for a good 10 seconds before she kept on. felt like we were both on an amanita energy wave. They love to eat those things if you didn’t know, flying reindeer! Right as I was getting back to my van, saw 3 guys with shovels going ham at the dirt on the edge of some blackberry bushes. Hopefully they didn’t just dig up a whole patch of cyans, I’m gonna go check it out tomorrow.

These ones were half eaten!

Damn, that's some good scouting, pretty jealous

I'm guessing it's a spot pretty far north you already knew about? If not then I'm incredibly impressed

The cyan patches around here are just starting to get mycelium running on the surface

Finally on the board with some Psilocybe Cyanescens and Psilocybe Allenii. These were found yesterday, I only picked the ones that had been stepped on or the ones that were being eaten by slugs.

Hoping to find some Baeos, Stuntzii, or pellies this year. I’ve only ever found cyans, azzies, and Allenii, so here’s to hoping we all have a few firsts this year!

Spot I found 2 days ago went crazy after just 48 hours + a heavy rain, couldn't get them all in one pic at least a few hundred little guys, only 1 was truly large enough to pluck!

Went down to cape disappointment. Saw some pins growing in the dunes, very exciting. This was my first year seeking to find azzies. Met some cool pickers along the way while out with my lady. Scored some amanitas.
