Can you mix two different types of mycelium?

And if so what might happen? My g/f wanted me to ask you guys this she has some cakes she hasnt fruited yet, this is her first time as well, shes changed her mind however from doing the cakes and wants to do substrate layers instead.

As i only know as much as she does im just as clueless as to what might happen when she mixes them together, Unfortunately she didnt label her jars so if she goes with this method there will be some mixing of mycelium dont know if its good or bad or what will happen regardless.

Theres like 6 small jars of golden teacher one large jar of golden teacher, 1 small jar of APE and 1 large jar of APE fully colonized.

Any information is always greatly appreciated!

They will likely just all grow together and you will have a mix of phenotypes. There is a small chance some might fuse and you can get a cross. But it’s also likely that if you have a lot of one variety and only a small amount of the other, that the larger amount will dominate.

Also it sounds like you got into this without a lot of understanding of what’s happening. I suggest you get familiar with the organism and the principles behind cultivating it.
