MDMA and Epilepsy

Good evening my fellow borts, beauties and all you lovelies in between. Next weekend I will be celebrating my friend's Brithday. I plan on taking .2 of MDMA with my partner and I'm not redosing.
My concerns are I have no idea if MDMA poses risks to triggering my epilepsy. stimulants like meth or coke seem to give other epileptics the most troubles more than any drugs. My epilepsy is very under control and not severe at all, I have not had a seizure in almost 3 years. I have no triggers for my seizures either.
Is anybody here or know anybody who is epileptic and has dosed themselves with MDMA safely?

MDMA and most all stimulants can change seizure threshold levels and not for the better. So there is a risk it could trigger a seizure. I would advise against it unless it was done in a clinical setting.
I spent a year or more taking MDMA daily. About a gram a day sometimes, and during that time, I was, and still am physically addicted to benzodiazapines which means I could easily have a seizure if I missed a dose. MDMA ended up sending me in the ICU. Take that for what you will.
I think there is no safe way to dose oneself with MDMA safely unless it was under medical supervision.
These are still relatively new compounds to the realm of science and medicine.

Wow! Very strange to see this thread, but not too surprised- considering how its been, lately.
I chose 'the lesser of two evils' two nights ago, and while I didn't seize, my vitals became dangerously and uncontrollably high. Should have been an ER visit. It was quite foolish, reckless, and I won't do it ever again. Actually plan to bring up a few topics as a result- It's why I visited this subforum, and seeing this thread sure is tripping me out!
Keep in mind, 'Epilepsy' is vague umbrella term, and everyone is different.
While .2 is a modest dosage, if it were me- I'd look to the many other entheogenic options, depending what your intentions are.

I have seizures regularly and too many different types to track. I'm kind of getting used to it. It has been a powerful learning experience for me. There is no way in hell I would even consider doing anything like mdma ever again. The best thing you can do for yourself is to get healthy. Eat nourishing food. Drink clean water. Incorporate quality movement and social interaction into your life and try to cultivate happiness. The chemistry surrounding the human nervous system is delicate. Keep your brain chemistry in good working order. Purified/synthesized stimulants don't really fit in that recipe. Give some love to that brain of yours in a healthy way and be greatful for your amygdala and what it does for you. A good dose of mushrooms in a good place at key times is helpful and therapeutic for me.
The caffeine in tea (camelia sinensis) is about all I can handle as far as stimulants go.
Good luck and stay safe.

I don't have epilepsy or anything, but MDMA is a stimulant, and it has some mildly psychedelic effects, so I'd bet it could trigger an episode. Whether or not it actually would is a different matter, but I think it probably could. I'm also not sure what effect purely entactogen effects would have on epilepsy, but I bet they could in and of themselves cause problems. Maybe. Unlike with classic psychedelics, I'm not sure if anyone has actually looked into the effects of entactogens on epilepsy.
