Possible Liberty cap ID request - Peak District, England
    #26973465 - 10/07/20 08:51 AM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Hi there, could do with some help IDing these please? Found them in the Peak District, Derbyshire on a wet grassy hillside near Heather. Fairly sure some are libs but really not certain on most so any help would be great. Cheers.

Hey you have a range of stuff here, hard to ID all

Most look like libs (2,5,6, 8,22)

9 and 11 are not (not sure about 17).

20 looks like stropharia sebliglobata

Hi Jack, thanks a lot for your help. I guess it doesn't matter if some non-libs get mixed in as I understand none of the liberty-cap lookalikes that grow in the same habitat should be toxic?

Beware of LBM's (Little Brown Mushrooms)

Never eat any mushrooms you cannot properly identify. OP, please wait for a trusted identifier.

What was the detail on 11 that told you it was different? I see the slightest difference in the stem color, but that's avid it, and would love to pick your brain!

regarding 11, There is no nipple and they dont have the distinct "wetness" or sheen/stickiness that libs do when wet. There is a different visual texture to the cap itself and the stem is dark to black, wheres libs have a lighter stem.

Auzzy is answer to your question, i wouldnt bother eating them unless you are 100%. LBM's can make you very ill.

Take Number 5 and put it next to 11, note the differences.

9 & 11 are probably some kind of Panaeolus, the rest are Psilocybe semilanceata
