One year! 5

Man it went by quick but a year ago I got the mail and took this picture which turned out to be the start of a much longer journey than expected.

The plan was to grow a couple ounces to stash in the freezer so I’d have some whenever I wanted, but I got hooked immediately and a couple months in had enough to last me a few lifetimes even after giving my friends so many they stopped taking them. (When I bought the case of half gallon jars I remember laughing thinking about how long it would take to fill them up, glad I went for the case and not a single jar.)

I just wanted to thank everybody on here, this is by far the best community I’ve found anywhere. People reached out to help me from day one when I was cooking grains a quart at a time, doing syringe to grain and asking the usual new guy questions. Once I got the hang of it I started trying to give help back but I’m still learning constantly and feel like I’ll never repay this place.
Looking back at my first grows it’s crazy how far things have come.

Plus never in a million years did I think I’d get to experience species besides cubes!

Gotta give a shout out to jcm and the pan thread guys for that.
Anyway I just realized this morning a year had gone by already and wanted to say thanks for the help and I love all you tripped out motherfuckers.

Man, that is really impressive that you were able to progress that much in one year. I assumed you had been cultivating before you made your account on here because you really seemed to know your stuff and had pics of awesome grows. Great job!
Keep it up and you could end up in the Shroom Hall of Fame

Lol at the ever-present "pic of the first syringes purchase". I wonder how many people have done that around the world? Damn dude, nice work in a year.

And all that without a hood! Get yourself a good vacuum sealer and a few big rolls for all that mush. You'll be glad you did bro.

I didn't vacuum seal my first ten pounds and lived to regret it. I borrowed one for a while after that. It's crazy you brought it up because I literally just got back from going to get a new one.

Dammit, I am such a little fanboy. I have been doing this a little under a year now, though I was occasionally lurking this site for years. I went a little nutz on my first grow doing everything that Bodi told me. Then I started looking at Eats and SmartAttack’s stuff and jumping into some variations to see what works for me. Pasty changed my life and Alien has led me to some awesome discoveries. D3monic’s work is inspirational.
But AKA, you started just a few months ahead of me. You have always shown humility while sharing what you have learned. I don’t recall a single harsh post from you. To see how far you have gone in a year, learning, teaching and sharing. Shit, I am getting all choked up. Maybe it is just because I am drunk. Nah! Fuck that. Congrats on a hell of a year. Looking forward to lots more from you.
Seriously, though. This is a great community in spite of a lot of our glittering personalities. I appreciate you and this whole crew.

Thanks guys.
I was fortunate to have absolutely no responsibilities over the last year so I could dedicate a ridiculous amount of time to cult and this site. I honestly probably spent more time on shroom stuff than a full time job.
After a solid year of reading threads constantly I’m just now starting to run out of new ones lol.
Idk what I would’ve done without shroomery cuz I started in October and by New Years my friends were all super sick of mushroom pictures.
