My PE6 on WBS are colonizing sloooowly compared to the oats. The GM on WBS is getting near done and it was done at the same time. Same WBS, soaked same length of time. Odd.

i remember you talking about wheat 2 years ago. you said you loved it. do you still use wheat solo on its own? i use milo now. i love the fact that milo has high nutrient density. you can pack a lot of it into a spawn bag, way more than oats. but it tends to explode rather easily. i'm thinking about trying out wheat.
I use millet 100% , been thinking about trying out milo just because it’s a little bigger grain..

Modifying a few more flats of jars here and I really wish the information on using MP tape as a grain jar filter wasn't all over the place. I got plenty of beading felt that's worked for me but my tube of sillcon carne popped and nothings open to restock.
Some folks say yes doubled up works like a champ, some say no way.

Are those made with paper micropore? I been using beading felt like I said and never any problems but with no silicon tonight I'm stuck, if this paper micropore works then fuck why not I got 10x2" rolls of it with dispensers.

Is soaking grains to active bad spores to make them easier to kill in the PC or is it to add moisture?

Soaking is to add moisture. Once grain is PCd for the appropriate amount of time (90min+ for jars) you can leave it for a very long time and it will still be sterile, soaked or not.

For those of you interested in the history of psychedelic use in ancient cultures, ancient beer/wine making, shamanism, and the roots of western culture...this audiobook is pretty excellent.

Can't get those Mainstay lids 8 packs in Canada otherwise I'd be all over them. I have a tote that's half-full of metal rings and lids at any given time as I cycle jars back in. Some of them are started to rust horribly.

Just to be clear, for myself, it's prolly sooo obvious, but these can't be the two piece lids that might seal even backed off?
And I thought the one piece plastic lids fell out of favor as peeps used them, they began to loose shape.
