Oh nice mate!! Look forward to seeing this progress; I've a friend here in RI that wants to cycle cross country.
How much time/money have you budgeted? What's your start and end points?

I began the trip in Denver. But my game plan has changed three times over the course of the tour.
I had originally planned on saving $500+ for the trip. Then I qualified for unemployment as a gig worker, so I applied for it. The state of CO approved my unemployment so my new plan was to start the tour and run on my unemployment direct deposit every Monday.
Last Monday when I expected to receive my 3rd unemployment check, instead, I received an email stating my benefits has been terminated.
So, my 3rd plan, tour with zero savings!
All you really need is food and water. Since your touring you pass a lot of food banks & every convenient store will let you refill water bottles if you tell them your story.
Also, I'm a member of warmshowers.org This is the key! It's like Airbnb but only for cyclist that are touring, they feed you too! It really makes the touring so easy, plus it is completely free! You just gotta be traveling cross country via bicycle!
So, Flag, Tuscon, and Phenox I can do postmates so that will help with my cash situation once I get back towards to metroplex then I'm headed towards LA & Hollywood.
I'm already planning my next tour!
My biggest advice, just getting out and do it. Tell your friend to stop thinking about touring and tell him to get on his bike & ride!
I was riding with another biker by Wolf Creek Pass going to CA from OH on a Surley Long Haul Disc Trucker.

Friday turned into a fucking great day!
So, Monday, my 3rd unemployment payment was denied between Pagosa Springs & Durango. That made the touring a bit more difficult but two amazing food banks helped me out.
Before I left CO I also applied for food stamps and picked up the EBT card. This morning my application was processed and approved with a balance of $398!
I'm about to hit Flagstaff tomorrow, spend some time there, and go see the Grand Canyon since everyone thinks it's so amazing to see!

Thanks brother! I'll send you a private link to my account that I'm posting all my travel pics on since most people here was an asshole when I asked for help to desgin my sign that links you to my account.
I made the sign myself, assholes! And it works great, maybe more glue!
Glad we got to meet when I first moved there before my life went to hell! Enjoy Colorado & thanks!
My travels from Red Mesa to Keyenta has been astonishing, both the people, and the land! So glad I drove through the Navajo Nation!
