Childrens games that teach hate.

Please NOTE: I will post offensive words that are not meant to offend, but are a reflection on what I was exposed to as a child going to a Catholic grade school.
Grade 2: Smear the Queer One person is labeled 'queer', the object is for the rest of the players to chase and then tackle said queer. When the queer is tackled the rest of the players form what was know as a 'nigger pile' (everyone jumps on top forming a huge mound of kids) This really hurts when too many people are above you!! I really enjoyed being the queer because only one guy could out run me and I usually never got caught. Looking back, I never associated the words 'queer' or 'nigger' to anything derogatory. The words were just words.
Grade 5: Spider swing We did this from 1st up to 5th. Because there were a lot more kids on recess then swings we would pair up. First person sits like normal, then another sits on their lap facing each other. You could swing really high and you didn't need to exert much energy to do it (you could trade off swinging your legs etc). When I reached 5th grade the teachers made the boys stop doing this with no explanation. The girls were still free to continue. We were given the reason of "Do as you are told!" I now know why. Homophobes!
Were these small town Iowa things or is this universal? Are the same games played today? One of the best games was 'Trench', like a dodge ball game but with teams. THAT was a blast!!

My cousin wanted to spider swing with me.
I should have, she was hot. I bet I would have gotten a boner.

Yah... Grade School games really messed me up... I mean like the measurement game.. Everyone gets a ruler and pairs up with a girl.. Then the girl measures your thingee... Those with the biggest thingee got a star next to their name and in high school those kids all got to sleep over with the principal and his wife. The rest of us had to wash dishes in the cafeteria and some had to repaint the gymnasium celling...
Thats how we lost Willie Beamin...

-------------------- < I have logged in this once so that I can set the "last seen" feature up. let the faggots flow forth into OTD and have it. Its funny how they all grew nuts after I left. I'm not here, I'm not reading, but I urge you all to keep melting down over me. I know, I hurt alot of people, and they deserved it. epic win for me, epic fail for you. ythan, you rock dude. i feel that my time at the shroomery was very positive and enjoyable, but this site is no longer for me. im not mad or upset or disappointed, i just want no part in a pg rated faggot festival. <

Never heard of any of those games, although 'trench' sounds a lot like our "doctor dodgeball" where two people from each team arent allowed to throw any balls but can save other players by dragging them past a line(the hospital).

We used to play "king of the hill". You stand on a hill an everyone tried to push everyone else so they get on top of the hill. Didn't teach us to hate but it was fun.

Out of all the games played by children on playground throughout the world, I believe the most appalling game is double Dutch. First let us start with the name. An obvious attempt to make fun of the Dutch people by saying they are all fat. Secondly lets look at the set up of the game. 2 people trapping a third. Another obvious crack at the poor Dutch who are forced to clean houses and do slave work. And lastly the game it self. Trying to trip someone up or better yet, hit them in the head with the rope is an obvious attempt to silence the Dutch of their rights to bear arms. And so in conclusion I say we rid this world of a game we so fondly think of as childhood fun, but in reality is the reason for the fall of the Dutch Empire.

We called it tackle the man with the ball, and was played with or without a football. But that was the 60's. Never heard it called smear the queer till ten years later. I think the 70's were more homophobic.
