Are they from a cultivated patch? Seems a bit too warm for most. Although, I've had raised beds in my old garden fruit in late August before, I've never seen them in the "wild" before the 1st of Nov.

Have been looking, no luck. Been scanning quite regularly round a number of woodchip beds in built up areas around Hackney, as well as Hackney marshes.
Saw a number of parasol mushrooms today, and plenty of smaller wood lovers. No cyanescens yet.
Does anyone know the ideal temp for fruiting? Still hitting 16 celsius + here so assume it's too warm.

Cooler than 10C day time temps in my experience. Although, as stated above, they can vary quite a bit. These fruited in the last week of August from a raised bed in a landscaped city park type area. Excuse the poor quality, had to screenshot it off my old instagram.
Good luck hunting, but don't be put off it's still too early really. I'd recommend landscaped areas when the temps drop, like ornamental gardens etc... always had more luck there than other urban areas. I assume they probably get watered all summer.

They are from 2 wild patches. I have picked them in October for the last 8 years on the south coast. Occasionally in late September.

Wow lovely clusters, do you know if they fruit in the North, or are they more common down South? Never found any over here (not really looked either, but this year I'm keeping my eyes a lot more peeled)

All of them look like Psilocybe cyanescens to me.

You should start a separate I d thread for them. They look good but can't say for sure from that photo. If you spore print them you'll have a good idea.

Not a lot but got 1.6 dry from my spot yesterday, a lot of aborts and pins coming trup. Also you can see a very dense mycelium network. Hope I haven't damaged anything big time as I did take some and added to some woodles chips hoping to start a patch off next year.
Went lib hunting in the rain and managed to get 2.5 dry grams in 30mins. I love knowing my spots and where I'm guaranteed to do well when there out.
A mixed bag total of 5.1gs now. Wish I didn't let the earlier 2.5gs go now.
I'm not going to be greedy this year . If I can make it to 14th I'll be happy that'll keep me going until late I can get a cube operation up and running.
Anyone know the perfect temp for cyan mycelium to florish?????

In contrast to BasilBush here are some very small and not so wavy Psilocybes I found yesterday (West Country)

Those look like Alennii to me. Have there been any reports of them in the UK?
