To me it looks like a combination of lack of FAE and matted. Looks like its been getting to wet then dried to quickly forming the matted look and the aerial mycelium is showing a need for more air. It looks like you made a sort of SGFC but you covered all the holes. The SGFC has many many holes uncovered and you mist it pretty often. Seems like you have some type of humidifier in there that is getting it to damp.

Ohh i see, i took off the air pump and i'll try to double the FAE, i put micropore on the holes to avoid things from getting inside as i don't have a greenhouse or a dedicated room for the FC. Thanks for the answear!

I reckon what is happening is the mycelia is trying to jump onto that substrate and that is where all the fuzz is coming from
you will need some foil in between the cakes and the substrate looking stuff you are using as a moisture well, what is that anyway?
I recommend using perlite or straight coir or straight water like Mateah does in his cake growing threads
maybe some more reading about the process before you try again
all the best with it kkjklv

When you spawn you don't have to worry about contamination as you already fruited in open air. Contamination comes from the spawn itself after it's already fully colonized 99% of the time. Of course if you just throw some trich spores on there it might cause contams but opening the holes will not. You should untape those as that's where the FAE should be coming from.

Theyβre way too dry.

I think you should follow proven to work Teks until you have enough experience and actually understand the processes involved. gl

Yeah i just followed somes steps i was taught in a yt Video, last time i did it, it worked just fine, i got 3 flushes, but as the climate got warmer and more humid, i'll have to adjust. The substrate thing is Vermiculite, but it got very humis=d, maybe is triggering the mycelium to grow as you said. I'll try to follow your tips, Thanks!

I see, i'll do that, and poke some extra holes while i dunk it.

Probably trying that water tub tek you got on your signature, that's some fat flushes you got there!
