Dark spots on pins stems |PF TEK| (with *PICS*)

the stems exhibit some weird dark discoloration on them. what could be it?

I think it will be fine. Sometimes a little discoloration happens. I try to not mist mine until after the first flush

You dont mist them at all during fruiting?
I noticed the first guy got thicker after getting misted and the droplets totally evap'd
so you think its fine huh?

Totally fine.  I try and get my sub to field capacity so I don't have to mist til after the first flush.  I find misting during the first flush to be over kill and I usually end up having a too wet sub, that causes cap rot and other things.

thanks. on some fruits it almost seems like some kind of contact damage (tho they never been touched) or perhaps having been overwatered but i understand they would abort then or is this incorrect

Not always.  The first pin looks fine. The second one might have cap rot. Its kinda hard to see

if it is, does drying the shroom make it safe for consumption?

these 4 are the same pin as in OP in the second pic



and this one is nother kake that also shows some discoloration (center, the fat one)

i got 1 more question. the sides of the cake walls seem to get a bit dry and the mist from the mister doesnt seem to cover them as well as the top.
how is this issue corrected?
