ID request. Psilocybe caerulipes or Gymnopilus?
    #26972663 - 10/06/20 06:00 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Found these 2 different but similar looking kinds on my walk today.  South eastern ontario.
Mostly growing on rotten evergreen, lots of moss around.  Found some just in loose loomy soil.
I thought maybe a gymnopilus of some kinda maybe.  Pictures online for reference are just too varied.
Nobody wants to drop any spores for a print colour.
Doesnt seem to bruise any diffrently.  SO doubtful its much of anything.

Having looked at a larger variety while i was out, I think you might be right.  The stem looks more supportive of that.

They look very close to some Galerina species so probably shouldn't consider eating them based on my observations.
