ID request - Netherlands
    #26970615 - 10/05/20 01:29 PM (3 years, 3 months ago)

Hi,

I've never picked mushrooms before, but stumbled upon these.
I'm hoping they are p. semilanceata, but my guess is they are not, since some of the caps are larger than the 25 mm from most descriptions I've found, and flatter than the bell / conical shape.

Area:
south-east Netherlands, sandy soil, grassland where I believe donkeys and maybe sheep have been (donkeys were in the meadow next to this one when I was there, from the same owner).

Conditions:
mushrooms growing in grass, not directly in dung. Last few days have been 10-15 deg C, with a lot of rain.

Description:
some seem to have the bell shape and nipple of a semilanceata, but especially the larger (older?) ones are flatter, have little or no inward curve of the cap edge, and are larger than the 25 mm I see in most descriptions (haven't measured exactly). I did not see blue bruising on stems or caps. The ones I've bruised myself did not discolor within ~30 seconds (what is a typical time for this?). Gills of the few I've picked are light / cream colored. I don't have a spore print.

Are these p. semilanceata / liberty caps? Or are there 2 species mixed?
If not, then what are they?

If it is any help, there was a different species (the white bulbous ones in the last pic) growing scattered across the same field.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure what species they are, but they're definitely not semis/liberty caps

They do look like Galerina to me, but I dont know

The big ones appear to be marasmius oreades, the small ones are possibly some conocybe sp. The last one is puffballs.
