do spores need to dehydrate and re hydrate to become active?

Wondering if i can use spore's immediately after dropping ?

I have historically all ways used my prints( making LC from spore's) weeks if not months after they were made , just wondering if the spores can be used, for inoculation immediately after harvesting them ?. info available seems to suggest they may need to be dried first .

regards

In the wild they would drop right into moist shit or soil. So I would assume so.

They are dried first for longer term storage. I find i have to re-hydrate them to get them germinate properly. So the answer IMO would be yes you can use them immediately.

Def don't need to dry first. They'll do great in agar fresh from the fruit!
