Transporting Spores Overseas

Hey friends,
I'm relatively new to the mushroom cultivation game (did 1 grow kit of Golden Teachers and that worked beautifully).
I will be travelling from Europe to South Africa at the end of this month and am looking to buy spores and start growing for personal use in SA since spores are extremely hard to get there.
I'm aware that spores need to be stored at low temperatures.
My question: do you think I will be able to transport them in my luggage for the duration of the flight without damaging the spores?
My plan is to start growing within the first week of touching base in SA.
Thank you!

Spores are extremely hardy and can handle 100°F and up, no problem. I even had some spores sit in my mailbox for six days when temperatures never got above 0 (again F not C). That was a spore print BTW, i doubt a syringe can handle being frozen solid, but maybe.
Anyway, the point is your spores will be fine to travel with. Also, I think spores are legal in SA, and I heard of at least one spore vendor located there.

Hi there,
I relocated to SA from Europe 8 years ago and have been in a similar Situation. I have plenty of rusty White prints. Live close to Cape Town and would love to help you out.
There are also many reliable vendors. PM meif you're interested.

Might want to check international travel laws before you transport spores in your luggage, if you can get locally or shipped to SA, then I’d do that, also, you can go to the market place here and people will Individually trade spores/prints etc to you, just a thought if you can’t find them shipping to SA from a vender. Dm me, I could also possibly help you out, just would have to check SA laws and international shipping laws.
