Potential rust gill? Hey guys I found these in a different forest same thing northern Minnesota Wisconsin border they really look like the rest goes to me just looking for specific species Iโd be so grateful
Cap- orange brown color Largest is an inch some half Inch Little spots that donโt stick up on caps
Stem- about inch and half long. Lines up and down stem, rough Half centimeter wide on stem Bruising but not black more like a brownish
Smells ๐ mushroomey Growing on dead tree in pretty decent numbers in spots The log they were growing on had a rust powder underneath everywhere where they were growing
Gills are close together and are rust brown Connected to stem and goes down a little, not much I would really appreciate any wisdom thank you so much and what exactly rust gill it is if it is one ๐๐๐๐http://

Do galarinas give off rust powder on the logs theyโre growing from? Just like rust gills or? I had some galerinas Iโd the other day the looked different and gills were slightly different. If galerinas give off rust powder on log as well? Then could be?!

Galerina marginata. And yes they will leave rust colored sporulation on the logs similar to Gymnopilus but usually no where near as abundant.

Aww manโ
They are just popping up everywhere now and I donโt want to pass up a gym Maybe some master tips of distinguishing the two different species Iโd appreciate! ๐ The first time that I found a Galerina before So I apreciate you guys! I just went out hunting I found an abundance of these mushrooms they look similar but a little different the whole stem bruises black/purple and the girls are a little lighter than the ones I just posted theyโre growing on dead log in small grips They remind me of gym Luteus or luteofolius The bruising goes all the way up too the top of stem almost instantly Gills are light tan close together and just barely attached. And the caps are different theyโre more flat on these ones. Iโve never seen a stem bruise dark purple black so quickly Itโs hard to see in the pictures but the bruising goes all the way up to the cap
Hereโs some pics of the new ones I found in different forest Also stems and much smaller on these new finds and there is no small dot on the top middle of cap as in the other galerinas from earlier
If these are galerinas too I guess I just gotta watch out for um Theyโre hard to distinguish.. and unfortunately so poisonous LOL http://
