Found these while hunting for weilii. My guess is they are galerina. Would love to confirm these and to use them as a cautionary example of a deadly weilii look-a-like
White stem and gills, thin white ring around outer margin, growing from pine debris on a steep slope, growing gregarious to cespitose

psathyrella sp, likely psathyrella candolleana.
As far as i know there aren't really any deadly lookalikes, especially within the habitat ps. Caerulescens grows in.

Thank you mental! Thats good news. Ive been pretty paranoid before that an imposter might have slipped through the ranks. I've been double, triple, and quadruple checking them before picking recently. Can't be too careful when pulling pounds like we are on the actives thread!

Hey nothing wrong with being cautious. I double check all my active finds even if there's no possible way it could be anything else.

Oh what great timing because I have a very similar question. As far as weilii, do they have deadly look-alikes that typically grow on lawns? There were two that I found recently (among a ton of among a ton of others) that I could not get good spore prints on. They just did not drop any spores. There was not any blue on them either but they were found in with a bunch of others that dropped purpleish brown spores and had blue bruising and looked similar to them. I am so paranoid now-but it’s no big deal because I have them separated. I’m just afraid I might’ve missed some thing with the rest. I wish I had gotten a picture of them before I dried them but I didn’t. I tried researching but I’m having a hard time figuring out the specifics for our area and the specific habitat. I am leaning towards no, not a deadly look a like, but… Any insight from those more from those more experienced would be helpful.

I can't think of any deadly look alikes that would grow from lawns, though really your best bet is learning the species and being able to positively identify it rather than just eating what you find because you're "sure it's not deadly"

Thanks. I did request an id on the rest, but it occurred to me that these might be different- only because I couldn’t get the spore print, and I didn’t see any blue bruising. Otherwise, they looked like the rest and came from the same patch, so I assumed it was the same. But yes I should have looked for the additional details to definitely identify them before allowing them to dry too much. (Have not eaten anything yet-and will be very careful. I have toxicologist friends who see poisonings all the time from all kinds of mushrooms, and their stories scare me.)
