Well It looks like N0Tmushroom2THINK was right after all ... good call ... those specimens I found were in rough shape, people had been stepping on them and dogs pissin on them it was hard to tell for sure what they were and they were growing in my traditional baeo spot; but, I found a half decent specimen today and clearly there is a blue ring on the stem. These are obviously stuntziis not baeos. Perhaps Baeo City will change its name to Stuntzville after all.

your original post had a blue ring and the fragile/broken weak stature that is so much stunzii characteristic, it should never be confused with Baeos stiff white stem and proud stance. Just the feel alone should of been a clue? Great job and am not putting you down in the slightest.
Baeos from years gone by, reference.
stunzii not this year, only for reference.

Those original specimens didn't really have a prominent ring on them and the caps were flattened (probably from getting stepped on). Since they were growing in my baeo spot I assumed they were baeos initially. I knew they were psilocybe for sure from the purple brown spore colour and the seperable gelatinous pellicle. The lack of significant blueing should have tipped me off though. These are some baeos I picked around here in the past.

Team Lib hasn't been a contender for years but the season is still early.
I can see a ring in the first 2 pics is why i say this, regardless of the species, way to get on the board. Nice find.

Should we be expecting cyans to start really popping off here soon?

No finds yet, only gone out on a couple recon missions, but I thought some of y'all might dig this. I'll leave it here as an unofficial logo of the season. May be the only decent thing to come out of this year, we will see.

Went to scout out some areas on the northern coast up by La Push and Forks area today, didnt find much BUT did find a possible amanita and a random mushroom only saw the 2 a pretty good distance apart so I left them there.
not entirely sure since I didnt get a spore print or really mess with them to be able to check bruising so that's just my half assed guess but still cool to see some type of activity!
EDIT - I wrongly originally assumed these were possible Cyans, after being informed that they are not Cyans I went back and edited the post to avoid mistakes

Well team stuntzii racks another win up here in Baeo City. Score: team Lib 1, team Stuntzii 2, Team Baeo 0. The home team seems to be dropin the ball this season so far.
