WELCOME ABOARD
The Backstory: The Find, The ID, The Spore Distribution ------------------------------------------- 10/2/2020 Retrieved the prints from my stash. Going to plate the larger one tonight. Will post progress pics and update the OP along all the stages of growth. Hope ya'll enjoy!

Plated the spores. The print was tiny! I tried to scrape as little spores as possible, and transferred small spore clumps from my xacto blade to 3 pasty plates. If this method doesn't work, I still have enough of the print left to try swabs. Not gonna lie, it was kind of a rush to work with such a small and rare print. Extreme caution was used.

------------------------------------------- 10/7/2020
Thanks for the germination tips! However, I may have something! its super tiny and hard to discern anything, but something is going on down there. Don't think its bacteria cause it would have shown up already it was. Will post an update in the AM with confirmation of germination or contamination. But this is growing right at the point where I inserted the xacto blade. If this isn't germ'ed, then I plan to do moistened sterile swabs, but the syringe idea sounded good too. I add vegetable glycerin to my syringes and it usually makes germ within a week, so that might be a good idea too. Anywho, check out this little patch of something that showed up between this morning and now. Sorry for the crap pic, hard to get it to focus. I'll break out my manual focus camera later tonight.

It's white

I've got germination on all three plates

Nice! So I have a Beulah wild print from 9/27/18. Thought I'd give it a go as well. Just put down 3 plates. My print was "large" as well until I opened it. I didn't even see it at first lol.

Awesome!
Excited to follow this. I do not think sclerotia producers get enough love. Haven't even tripped that many times on the fruits or the truffles. But I love the mycilium and the fact that you can yet fruits and stones in one grow! I'm sure you can get very good BE with some skills.

So help me out. I've grown tamps once like 4 years ago. I fruited them in shoeboxes. I wasn't too thrilled with the spaghetti results cause I got veritably no caps to print. How did you fruit yours to to achieve that amazing profile pic? Is there a tamp tek or something you can point me towards? I admittedly don't know much about this species outside of growing stones, but I def wanna make lots of prints to continue this lineage.

I havet done this and Always follow Mycolorados service, especially with any stone producer.
I have also had good results with just coor and verm bucket tek. 1/4 inch casing of 50% peat 50% verm. Fruited in my greenhouse.
Really think it's hard to go wrong with these. Just follow Mycos advice. Also it really help to put a few drops of water on the caps when printing
