Yep, they should be. That's more or less exactly what I used to make my latest batch of agar
I've also used that brand of agar-agar with instant mashed potatoes and Karo recipe. Telephone brand works great

Yep. Careful not to get that malt around any humidity... shit turns to glue and is a mess to work with.

LME is very hygroscopic, meaning that it's able to absorb moiusture from the air which leads to clumping and eventually solidifying to a rock-like consistency.
The best thing you can do as soon as you get that bag of LME is emptying the contents in a air tight container. A mason jar or a glass pickle jar would be perfect. Always close the lid well after each use.

What everyone else said.. you can use a ton of other nutrients as well, and it's a good idea to switch it up occasionally if you are making multiple transfers.
I personally like, grain water agar (from soaking my wbs), brown rice flour agar, malt extract agar, and dog food agar.
About 3% agar and 1-1.5% nutrient seems to work best

And put a fresh silica gel packet in there, too. The "Dry and Dry" indicating packets from Amazon are great! They turn from orange to sickly green as they absorb moisture. Then, you pop them into the dehydrator with your shrooms and by the time the shrooms are dry, they turn orange (and ready for re-use) again.
Also, I prefer the powdered agar over chunks of agar. Especially for no-pour plates! You can just mix it up and pour into the plates without having to heat it. Just swirl after each plate or two so it stays in suspension. The PC will heat it anyway.

No, Briess is one of the best. Not that it matters, it's the nature of drying malt - it's hygroscopic. Gonna take on water.

Should I stick with the golden light? Or will any malt extract work?

Any should work.
Or plenty of other nutrients will too

It's just how much they roast the grains before powdering the liquid malt. Use light as you don't really need roasty flavors in your agar, but like mentioned it doesn't really matter.
