I love this time year when the sun gets lower in the sky, the leaves start turning and there is a chill in the air. Nice finds so far, good luck all.

Hello everyone.
As a non-expert in the area of mycology, I was hoping people more in the know could help me identify some mushrooms I found on my lawn. I get lots of different species over the season, but these seem...familiar shall we say! :-)
Am I right in thinking they are Psilocybe sp?
(I am taking spore prints atm)

Thanks in advance.
ETA: I am in the UK.

Nah not psilocybe buddy, more corprinoid at a guess.
Definitely not active either way.

That's really helpful, thanks.
I was googling about and found coprinoid fungi growing on tree stump as opposed to grass so I dismissed them.
And now I've remembered there is a tree stump under that part of the lawn...

I thought I would pop back up today as we've had a few showers in-between my last visit and also I set out with the aim of finding some bigger sized fruits. Good Job I did go up and trusted my gut instinct as I strolled into this lot. 225 Fresh Grams in Weight, Some lovely looking Specimens in this batch. My best pick too date. Only 275 Mushrooms approximately, less than my last few excursions but managed too pack some weight on because there much bigger Caps.
P.S. In the Last pic of the mushrooms, The bottom one of the 2 has Purple Streaks down it's Stalk and a Purple Dot, Easier too see when zooming in. But it's Clear as day and looks really cool, also got nice bluing on it's stalk too. Is it normal too get purpling as well as bluing? Noticed it on a few of the stalks in this lot. And also found Sparkling dots underneath one of the caps, like Crystals in Bud. I found A similar occurrence on a load of panaelous acuminatus last year too, not sure if it is just salts or something or a psychoactive compound of some sorts, Either way it's fairly fascinating.

Season has started aroind bristol. Went to my usual picking spot today and found 12 which is more than i was expecting to find this early at this altitude which was around 100m. Few big ones but looks like the season will be perfect in 10 days. Also the one pictured on its own i wasnt overly sure about, can someone check on it for me please.

Also going for my first 3.5g trip this weekend. Im planning on laying down on the rug with some visuals and music on the tele and a blanket and hope to enter complete bliss!

Wow!! Amazing. What part of the country are you in?
North East England. Got just under 48g dry so far. Expecting a good week again next week with heavy rain forecast this weekend

Hello! Any reports from SE foraging in the last few days? I am itching to see some caps in abundance, resorting to maybe setting off to Wales early hours tomorrow. However, I haven't got out round here (SE) in the last few days to see if it's kicked off finally after this rain. If it has, a trip to Wales in awful weather may be a little impetuous. But if it's still slow down here, then I'm up for the mission, especially as not sure if more of Wales might be in lockdown by next week. Any reports from SE pastures would be most appreciated
