Colonizing sub too wet?

Hey guys! Would you say the sub is too wet on top? The whole top is covered in pretty large beads of water I think. Have been colonizing since 9/18. And I know I see some metabolites, I suspected 2 jars had contams. Thinking bacterial.

Yeah those are pretty big droplets, I would take a paper towel and gently soak up those big puddles and then try to increase FAE a little more to decrease the size of the droplets. I think it should be fine though.

IF possible, I would raise one corner to get all excessive water in one corner and gently hold a ball of papertowels to the water. That way you soak up all the excess water in one play without affecting the myc all over the box. IF you need to let the box be open for a couple hours just to dry things up a little. BUT not too long or you will dry out the shoebox. And I agree that if you lessen the water content in there a little you should get some nice fruits.

Thank you! Gonna increase FAE after removing excess water right now.

I was able to collect a LOT of metabolic liquid that came from all four corners and sides. The droplets stayed intact even at a pretty steep angle. So I think I don't need to collect those, just increase FAE.

I had all six holes covered with packing tape and GE was through a small slit between the lid and base. So now I have all the tape switched to micropore. We shall see.

BTW, for anyone else searching and coming across this thread - I'd like to stress the importance of "gently". I wasn't all that gentle with holding the paper towel, so I scratched the myc surface a bit in the corner. So just make sure you are gentle with your paper towel.
