Monotub troubleshooting

Hey guys. Working on my first mono tub and just wanted to get some trouble shooting suggestions. This was spawned September 10th. This was 5 quarts of WBS and I used Damion bucket tek. I was dumb and did not the entire all the coir because I thought it was enough. The substrate was not as even as it could have been. Some areas are 3in to 2 inches. Most of it is 3in. Some reason my substrate did not stick to my black liner. I used a black cut up trash bag instead of an expensive liner. There are a lot of side pins coming in. I also see a lot of blue bruising which im sure is because it was dry at various points. Early on I did not understand surface conditions too well but now I have a better understanding. I live in Colorado so the climate is very dry. I find myself misting everyday and most days twice. I can see pins forming put the pinset is very sporadic and is not uniform at all. My temps fluctuate between 72-77. Any thing obviously y'all see that needs addressing? https://imgur.com/a/QueNlSE
This is my other mono tub I feel much better about. Its 6 days in. The top gets light brown and I tend to mist it some times. I read there during colonization many do not mist. If it gets light brown should I mist? Also, I was thinking of using a casing layer but read that sometimes it could troublesome. Would that solve my climate problems? Thank y'all for your help. https://imgur.com/a/kkcAe3Z

When I spawn my bulk I noticed that after leveling it out that packing (very lightly) the edge of the tub all around it helps with the side pin issue. As long as you are keeping surface conditions good it's just a waiting game to see. If conditions are good and spawn is clean it should go as good as it can. If the surface has tiny droplets all across the surface it's good.
Try to shoot for about 3-4 inch substrate for the best microclimate. And as far as casing goes you should definitely do it. I just recently did a little test of my own (granted it's only one time so not a full proof experiment or anything) and the results show for themselves.
Example:
Casing

No casing

And while obviously the no casing is not quite fully matured as the first picture you can see the big difference in pinset and they were both the same plate of agar just cased vs uncased.

Thank you for the quick response! And just making sure, do you case when tub is 100% colonized? And what tek do you use? I would love to do a similar bucket tek to case as well. Pasteurizing is a lot more work than I would like to do but will do if necessary.

From what I have learned certain mushrooms do benefit from late casings (100%) however cubensis from my experience and my reading on here benefit from casing and fruiting at spawn. Many of the excellent growers on here have shown time and time again that fruiting conditions and colonization conditions are one in the same there's no need to separate them.
I personally have adopted using pastywhytes EZ dialed monotubs as they work great for my conditions in the south but many people swear by Bod's Unmodified tubs.
Also EAT's Unbucket Tek is the "new" way to get your coir correct. No need to boil water, just use hot tap water. Pour it on in, wait 20 mins or so, mix it up, add vermiculite, done. No burning hands or waiting all night.

Whoa. I’ve been on this site for months and did not know this tek existed. Is there a list of new and improved to look at? The ones I’m looking at and using maybe outdated

There's so much information on this site it's hard to find it all.
But i'm sure there is a compiled list somewhere but I have a few of the teks I use in my signature. Pastywhyte always has some badass teks. Eatualive as well. He showed one of his methods recently called Stream-Liners which is a easy way to use liners in tubs. Just gotta keep reading recent stuff to find other new stuff.
