So the mono really started taking off. I just didn't get as dense of a pinset as I was hoping. However I am still happy with the current results although they look like they need more FAE but I hardly have any polypill left in the holes. Maybe the holes aren't big enough? And more are on their way still

Well here is the 1st Flush aside from 2 or 3 that I had to pick to avoid spores dropping:

Also, I picked another 3 after this picture. I don't want a mess of spores hitting the substrate if I can help it at all.
I have learned the following from this:
1. Make a way better liner to start. 2. Make substrate even more level if at all possible. 3. Don't take so much polyfill out of the tub to fatten the skinny ones that are growing. 4. I have been patching what I pull out right away with a clean substrate.
I know it's just BRF and you start getting nice canopies once you get into agar and grain. However, I have been trying to find a way to get a lot denser pinset and hopefully more fruits than this if at all possible. If anybody has any tips or a link to a good post for what I'm looking for that would be highly helpful!

Yeah, wish I would have done this. Maybe I'll get lucky and a bigger one is yet to come.

Been about 9 days so far and aside from 1 pin which looks aborted, I am not seeing signs of a 2nd flush. Must be the genetics, I know it's not full PE and someone here said that PE6 (what this is) are more Texas Cubes than PE's anymore, I've always noticed PE's taking longer IME.
NEW GT MINI
So here is the new GT mini-mono that I started on 9/21.
I'm wondering if I need to remove some polyfill, or loosen it anyway. There are some rather big droplets of water on the surface that I'm worried will ruin any chance of primordia.

Look How Impooved That Liner Looks!

That looks good, certain types of myc seem to hold way more water beads than normal, one of my favorite grows was toc and did that.

Well, these genetics came from a spore print that I was given which I turned into a syringe. I'm hoping it does well. Thank you for your input. Hoping it fruits in about a week or so. GT's always have grown fast for me.

I did some jars of PEU on Thursday Evening. So far only one jar has a small patch of myc growing at only 1 injection site.
No other signs of growth other than that. Hope everything is okay. The syringe I used was kept in my fridge for 2 or 3 weeks.

Yeah, I understand. I've just never had brf take this long to show at least some signs, and yet the one jar has one decent growth started in just the one injection site. These things just make me a little nervous since it's only ever taken 3-6 days for me to see decent size, clearly visible growth.
Nothing on a 2nd flush yet either

I've only done brf a few times and it was awhile ago, but yes

Still seems strange though that 1 jar would get 1 spot of growth and nothing else and none of the jars showed anything either yet. If it's all from the same syringe you would think they would grow evenly.

Its a genetic crapshoot. Theres also other variables, like distance between spores, differences in the sub etc

Interesting, definitely not trying to be impatient. Just was concerned something was wrong when I saw growth from just 1 out of 12 jars .

This is true, Trying to keep my temps the same though, whether less A/C when it's warmer, or just straight heat when it's cold, I do have a decent bit of control over the surrounding environment,

Got pins coming out of the new GT mini. Looking great so far.
Still no 2nd flush on both my shoebox and the mini both with contain PE6. Been almost 2 weeks since 1st flush stopped, I misted heavily and even rinsed the substrated since there were some spore droppings. Been misting normally and trying to create evaporation for the pins to start up again, no luck though. The patches of sub that I added never fully colonized and the sub is starting to get lots of metabolites. Are these cake's exhausted?
