A friend has established a beech wood chips patch in his garden. It was inoculated with several kinds of psilocybe woodlovers. Years went by.

Now he has a fruiting but this doesn't look like IT to me, at all.

Can anyone ID this?

I told him to pick some and watch for blueing which is quite pronounced in active woodlovers. There was none.

The spore colour that's caught on the partial veil looks the part.

Looks like it may be some sort of Hypholoma Sp.
Maybe Hypholoma lateritium, Hypholoma capnoides or something similar, though I'm not sure if those particular ones are known to occur in the Netherlands..

I suppose you should wait on more opinions.

A quick search confirms that they both do so I'd say its likely one of those two..

Could be a type of Pholiota too.

I told him right off the bat "In any case, if it grows on wood and doesnt blue, its not for you." ie not active.

Would you guys agree?

If he isn't intimately familiar with the different species in question. Then absolutely.
Especially from the wood chip substrate that you have pictured. They should all bruise heavily in that case.

On rare occasions I've found ones that didn't bruise much if at all after some time, but they were found in the wild.
