First attempt at using my agar to grains, SUCCESS

This will just be a little post I can keep updating with my first agar to grain grows. Currently I have 10 tubs that are going and have staggered them so they wouldn't produce all at once. Just like a tidy place to see the differences in the tubs
First tub: 66qt mono, 5 qts spawn, Golden Teacher
Got to it a little late as I went on vacation but doesn't look to shabby.

Second tub: 20qt mono, 1 qt spawn, Argentinian
Not fully grown yet but the pinning is crazy for 1qt spawn
  Pinning update, looking great:
Another update, can't wait for this one to be done:

Final update first flush:
Came out pretty damn great for a 1 qt spawn tub. Fruits could have been bigger but there's a ton of them so it made up for it. Not bad at all.

538g wet
Third tub: 66qt mono, 4 qts spawn, Golden Teacher
This one was the same culture as the first pic but I left it uncased to see the difference. Even though there is only one less qt spawn and uncased, huge difference. Never not casing again lol.

Update, Harvest some of the bigger one's forgot to take picture but looks semi decent.

Fourth tub: 20qt mono, 1 qt spawn, Argentinian
Very promising results coming along

Final update:
Let it go a little to long but first flush came in nicely. The ones that are spored up look really nice with this one.

Fifth tub: 20qt mono, 1 qt spawn, Golden Teacher
Not as bountiful as some of the others but alot of small pins so we will see

Final update:
Alot of the pins started growing quickly and this tub came up to par with some of the others besides the so-so start. Could have let some of the fruits grow longer but didn't want more spores like some of the other tubs lol. All in all a good one.

Sixth tub: 20 qt mono, 1 qt spawn, Golden Teacher clone
The growth is a little uneven, was hoping for a more even growth from this clone and bigger fruits because the clone was huge but tons of pinning.

Final update:
Forgot to take a picture before started harvest oof. Was a little disappointed with this one considering I cloned it from a nice little cluster but oh well. Still fruits! Better than nothing.

Seventh tub: 20 qt mono, 1 qt spawn, Argentinian
From the same agar as the second tub, coming in pretty solid! Not as thick as tub 2 but can't complain. Although there are some very big fruits and very small pins that have been there around same time. Possible aborts?

Final update first flush:
Didn't come in as hefty as I hoped but still nothing to complain about. Lots of small fruits coming from this Argentinian but still pretty thick. Overall not bad not the best.

281g wet

Thank you much It's not quite a full canopy but close. I'm hoping my clones will give me some beautiful tubs.
And so far i'm loving grains. I had two jars contam that I had to toss but I think that was due to me being sloppy in the SAB. Out of about 30 jars I had 2 contam so that's not to bad for getting started.

Very good that's almost 5oz dryed On 5qt. I hope your working on coloning. Since your doing agar you should pick a good cluster and work off of that. I mean it can only get better. Iv heard of people getting 9oz dryed on first flush 5qt but those people might be lieing. Me personally I've only have got 8oz on 6qt. That's my personal best.

I'm really surprised how that tub did considering it wasn't a clone, it was a pin from a BRF jar from awhile back cleaned up on agar. I have a few clones in the works and i'm going to see how those do before I decide which ones I want to put to slants. If I can get to 1 oz per quart normally that'd be sweet.
And yeah I want to make that ratio even lower though because one of the jars caught the trich and that shit scares me to see because the room I use is so small it would get around quickly if it ever made it in the tubs.

I wouldn't worry about slants yet I would run a few copy's grow out the copy make another copy repeat until you have a solid culture. One copy will not be anough. It has taken me 3 gens to get to above 1oz 1qt average your very lucky to catch what you did.

I'm going to slant the best looking cultures just so I can stop keeping up with so many agar plates. I have quite a few beautiful agar plates from clones that I will slant then just transfer onto agar when I need to make a plate to A2G or LI.
I have faith in some of my Argentinian cultures the pinset they have right now is looking phat.

*updated again*
Also thought I would throw this in here, I did say 10 tubs but forgot one was a BRF bulk grow so not including in main thread. However look at these crazy looking Thai Koh Samui fruits! Gonna clone the fat boys and see what happens.

Do these usually grow so, blob like?? Never tried them before this.

Thanks buddy! I'm glad it turned out so well. I'm excited to try some of my better looking agar plates since this has been growing. I have about 5 clones I want to try so next round i'm going to be trying at least 3 of them with hopefully even better results.
