Went to a furniture store again that's closing soon, the alligator sculpture is gone

I went to a somewhat fancy furniture store a few weeks ago. There were two small sculptures I liked. One a cat, maybe jaguar or leopard leopard, and an alligator mouth. I didn't make an offer because the woman working there said they were closing in December and I wanted to try to get them for more off. Today I passed by and it said they're closing October 30th so I stopped in to see if it was still there. I didn't see them so I asked and one of the woman said she thinks somebody came in and bought them all. I don't know if she means all, or a lot of those statues. Although the cat one was very nice, my plan was to flip it. The alligator mouth I wanted to keep. It was unusual because it was an alligator mouth facing straight up like coming out of the water. Didn't even know it was that at first. It also only had one eye. Either it fell off or it was part of the art. It's an interesting sculpture. I drew this picture earlier tonight of what it was basically:

I have no idea if it's one of kind. Anybody ever see artwork that you would have loved to have, but it might be a long shot finding again?

Yeah, there is a place near me that finds stuff in the dump, like furniture, old doors, toys, old art projects, and pretty much everything they might be able to sell. They have a beautiful carved wooden bird. Kind of like Asian inspired colorful sculpture. I asked about it and they were like "oh yeah, that is beaky." That isn't the name, but once they told me it had a name I knew I wasn't getting it. I offered $1,000's and I never buy any art at all, and they would not budge.

Call up a souvenir shop in Daytona Beach, FL. Pretty much any shop you see in the paper and probably any city in Florida too. They sell those stuffed alligator heads like hot cakes and dirt cheap. They will be able to get you any size for pretty cheap.

Do you have a picture of the carved bird?

The alligator is a sculpture and a mouth, not stuffed.

Ah, got it, I think. I'm having a hard time picturing what you saw. I don't have a picture, but I might actually be going there tomorrow and if I do then I will post up a pic.

My wife wants a green house so I'm going to go there to pick up some antique glass/wood doors to paint and then I'm going to screw them all together to make a nice green house. I'll probably make a little extra room to grow drugs in there too!

It's a small sculpture (around the size of a big hand maybe) that's of an alligator's mouth open with a little a bit of the eyes area (looked to be only one eye). It was sitting on a dresser. The base is below the back of the mouth with the mouth facing upwards. That's why I drew it that way.
