Hello advanced Mycologists.
I am new to this hooby and have a question regarding horse / cow poo.
I am thinking of adding Horse poo pellets to my Coco Coir and Verm and Gypsum mixture. Wou dthis be a good idea for growing some cubes.?
The receipie would be similar to what I learned from Arvin 47 over at Youtube. I would add the boiling water to the Coco Coir and Verm Gypsum mixture, seal the tub and let it sit over night.
The next day I would add about half the volume of horse poo pellets that I got from the gardening centre and then pasturise at aroud 55 – 65 deg C for an hour.
I would then use this as my substrate and add my colonised grains to this mixture.
How does this sound? Would it be a good idea?

I tried the Coco Coir + Verm Bucket tek and got only got two flushes before contam took over.
Since I bought the H Poo I Would like to use it.
I am just wondering how to use it in combination with my Coco Coir and Verm and Gyp.
Does my method seem like a good idea? Has anyone tried it?

I mean as long as you pasteurize it properly, adding manure will work fine, but you're just making things more difficult for yourself.
Manure is way more contaminate prone than coir/verm.
But if you feel like pasteurizing, go for it! I would just mix it all up, bring to field capacity, then pasteurize. Don't worry about the bucket tek if you're just gonna pasteurize after

I had never heard of that person before, and a quick search showed a video on injecting grains with a spore syringe, so I stand by my initial emetic response.
However, that was quick judgement as I have no idea how well that person is at cultivation, given that I have not watched a single one of their videos. It seems like a lot of the youtube growers are for people who have just gotten into the current trendiness of cultivating mushrooms and want to grow small amounts, which there is nothing wrong with. But if you want to refine your cultivation skills, stick around these parts.
A quick search here would show that hardly anyone uses manure anymore for cubes.
