Fungal gnats: To trash or to keep?🤔
    #26960698 - 09/29/20 04:52 PM (3 years, 3 months ago)

I currently have 7 cakes in my SGFC. All are pinning and are doing great. Since I birthed the cakes, I have had fly paper in my closet along with the SGFC. Today I saw a fungal gnat (I think?) flying around one of my cakes. I saw another one stuck to a strip of the fly paper. After I saw this, I hung another strip of fly paper and put a bowl of jagermeister in the SGFC to kill some more adults.

My question: What are the chances that this adult gnat has already laid eggs in the cake I saw it flying near? Should I trash it to prevent the supposed eggs from hatching and possibly breeding more? Should I let it fruit? What should I do?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, if you have had experience dealing with these cuntbag gnats, please help me😊 I love every single one of you, have a fantastic day, week, year, and life💩

If you grow mushrooms and don't see a gnat here and there, you're lucky.

You're over worrying here, start trashing cakes when bugs become a problem, not when you see one or two flying near them

Have some medicinal mushrooms and want to get the most out of them?  Try this double extraction method.
