Micro-dosing Before, During or After Workout?

Just wanted to see if anybody has ever had any experience with this. Also by working out I don't necessarily mean bench pressing or using any type of weights at all, mainly cardio exercises.

I'd imagine it would definitely kick in much faster during a workout lol.

before,
I would do 40 mins before, so as I am activating the body, I am more fully experiencing everything.
it is wonderfully disarming (i.e. relax the tense defenses in your musculature)
also it adds a bit of energy.

I microdose several hours before cycling and find that it improves the experience. Use caution though because you may find it easier to push harder than you normally would. I have not noticed that exercise hastens the onset.

Interesting. you would think getting the chemical into the brain and rest of the system via faster blood flow, would speed up the onset.

I feel like it shortens the duration by having the psilocybe run through your system faster. I usually microdose and roll a blunt before running/skating and halfway through the blunt I'll be restless and itching to go outside. But when I get home, the effects are always gone, whether I'm out there for an hour or 5 hours. If I take the same microdose at home, the overall feeling will fade away slower.

0.4 to 0.6g seems to be the sweet spot for me, usually spark up about 30-40 minutes after dosing which is done by grinding up cubes into this mushroom-chai-drink that also has lion's mane, reishi, chaga, and cordyceps (which could be responsible for the energetic restless feeling when I think about it)

I like to dose before. I don't notice that the exercise affects the trip, but the trip does affect the exercise. I definitely have more stamina and am ready to push a little harder and go a little longer. I agree that you do need to be careful with pushing your limits, though.

When I say trip, I am just waxing lyrical. I micro at a low level that is usually sub-perceptual, but I do feel it more when I exercise.

I dose at about 0.17g, sometimes before playing hockey, 30 mins prior to the beginning of the training.

I feel enthusiastic, more social with my teammates. As for the sport in itself : I feel slightly more energetic, more stamina, better vision (I have dry eyes, I can see slightly better with the dose). The best part is in the head : I'm not overthinking the game, I play more instinctively and that makes me better.

I've micro-dosed L a few times just before starting longer (three hours plus) solo trail runs or bike rides and I would like to continue playing around with it.  I haven't yet accurately measured amounts, but somewhere between 1/6th and 1/2 of a tab.  This is something I'd like to dial-in.  I'd also like to incorporate mushrooms to the trials but on the one hand I'm apprehensive of GI issues, and on the other hand I'm even less certain of dosages there, though I'm learning a lot about that here on these forums, so thanks!  I think the duration of the mushrooms would correspond better to the windows of time I'm playing with though, so that makes them even more appealing.

So far, I'd have to agree with either the perception of effort being less, or the perception of my energy being more.  I've tried to be careful with my "set & setting" by being properly hydrated and nourished and choosing a level of activity that felt reasonable.  Once I didn't, and I ended up getting some nasty leg cramps.  And always in beautiful scenery, early in the day and with a pleasant weather forecast.

I'd also suspected that onset would be quicker due to an elevated heart rate but didn't notice that to be the case.

In each case I had a beautiful day and a great experience.  I really appreciated how the nature of the activities kept me purposeful and engaged throughout the psychedelic experience (however mild it was) and without concern for being interrupted by unwanted conversation or visitation.  I felt sharp throughout the physical experience; good reflexes, good attention to detail, well-balanced.

I'd like to play around some more this winter while skiing, but the weather and the snow pack add variables that I'm still considering skeptically. 

I also regularly use cannabis with cardio in a more casual way.  I don't figure that's what you're asking about so I won't go into detail unless you ask.

I had thought about doing it with L as well as mushrooms. I have almost a strip of L that a buddy told me I could take one tab and dilute it in glycerin to make a  30ml glycerin tincture out of. This sounds like it would be something for you and I to both look into if you're going to want to accurately measure your doses.

At 120ug per tab if you do the math right you can probably get close to 3-5ug per dropper full.

I haven't done this yet. I hope that I can soon or somebody else can and let me know how it works for them. I was looking to microdose for a little extra energy since I am a medical marijuana patient and I use weed every single day for different ailments and it just makes me so damn tired and sometimes unmotivated, even with Sativa's

Still not sure I understand what your goal/intention is...

If it's micro-dosing to combat lethargy or a lack of motivation, I can't speak to that directly.  But if you "use weed every single day" and think that "it" is what's making you "so damn tired and sometimes unmotivated, even with Sativa's," then I'd put that at the center of my focus while I searched for a solution.  Weed is great, but its not the best thing for everybody all the time.  I've found taking occasional breaks to both help it be more effective for me and to return to a baseline for the perspective that brings.  Both are nice benefits. 

I've also found working out to breed energy.  Like begets like.  Sometimes, if you can push yourself through the motivation issue, the "extra energy" will follow...which makes pushing through the motivation easier next time, contributing more energy, and so on...

I did some more looking around last night and came across the same thirdwave article you referenced.  Made good sense to me.  Thanks for the suggestion.

What's your work-out routine currently?  What do you want it to be?  Are those routines reasonable considering your "ailments?"  Wishing you the best of luck.  Let us know how it goes!

The intention is to increase positivity, energy, and hopefully productivity.

Marijuana is helping me combat an autoimmune disease along with GI issues in the mornings and believe it or not, social-anxiety that no other pharmaceutical could combat safely and effectively. There are absolutely times where I cut back consistently and immensely on the amount that I consume per day, but I need at least a gram per day to improve my quality of life.

Also, I'm trying to cut out man-made substances completely if possible, even the LSD I would rather use a completely natural chemical than a synthesized chemical, but I've found more positive effects with LSD than with just mushrooms so I'm going to have to do some experimenting.

My current workout routine is a simple 3 set of 10 reps of several different cardio exercises every other day. I haven't tried micro-dosing anything yet prior to "working-out".

Honestly, when I first made this post I was initially just curious about onset happening faster because of working out and getting the blood rushing faster. However, I think this thread could potentially be great for people to share their experiences not only with microdosing alone but microdosing while or before exercising.
