Syringe filter questions

Hey guys. 2 questions:
1) Are syringe filters directional?
2) If they get wet, do they become useless?
These are the ones I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D74JRMZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_HqjCFb08FCPQN
Just want to make sure I install these things correctly and handle them correctly planning on using them for oat jars and LC jars.
Thanks!

They are multi directional.
They are designed to get wet...they are meant to filter contaminates out of syringe fluids.

For their original purpose of filtering solutions, then normally yes they are directional. You can tell as one side will have the threads to screw onto a luer lock syringe and the other side will normally be slightly smaller in diameter and looks only sufficient for the expelling of liquid. Although every now and then at work I'll come across an omnidirectional one. I dont trust them
For our purposes though, they're multi directional
Also, yeah they're more or less waterproof for our purposes. Meaning they're fine to swirl and slosh around and let liquid contact them. But I wouldn't trust them enough to leave a jar on its side or upside down with liquid in constant contact for days.
Edit: dang Tormato beat me to it lol

Hope it goes well for you brother. I've been using unmodded lids for my LC but I wanna try some modded lids with syringe filters so that I can create some LC syringes
