Hey!
I've started some Galindoi recently and just wanted a second opinion on how its looking. Its been 8 weeks and some are looking great but some have areas that haven't turned yellow.

They all came from the same batch as these agar plates. They came from a truffle that began forming on a previous plate. I transferred that truffle and then split that dish into these ones. I'm looking at the rings that formed around the center and am worried that it could be some type of contam

Looks about like I remember, although it's been quite a while since I grew these

Thanks for your response bro!
So the rings on the agar are nothing to worry about?

In my experience the stones mycelium kind of does its own thing. It is pretty hardy and none of my plates or jars show contamination. Also the growth is much more fuzzy translucent than cubes. Not sure if I answered you question but I think it looks ok.
You could always take a transfer from the plate that created the stone if you are not confident about those 2 clone plates. I would guess if you were not going to put the entire dish to grain or LC it will likely form stones as well.

I don't think so. You could try another transfer from the very lead edge outside of those rings and see if it repeats, but I think that's probably just how it looks?

I'm going to try transfering and see if it persists. Thanks for your feedback guys! Truffles are a little tricky as I find there aren't as many resources for them as there are for cubensis.
