Bullet Grow Journal
    #26956267 - 09/26/20 03:09 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Does anyone use a bullet journal set-up for recording their grow process, strains, and agar plates? The cool thing about bullet journals is not having to reinvent the wheel. If someone has a spread that has worked out for them, I would love to see it.

This is what a bullet journal is: https://bulletjournal.com/pages/about

Basically it is a self made planner designed for simplicity and quick use, but it has kind of evolved into being a system for recording a whole bunch of other stuff. Pretty much anything you want. Some people like to design them with drawings and such, others like myself go for a more minimalist approach. You use a dot grid journal, and that allows you to design each page however you see fit.

This is my daily mental health tracker from a few months ago:

If you are data enthusiast go ahead and use it. I know data/journals are fun things to geek out on when it comes to growing from what I have seen. If you think it will be fun or informative then use it, don't see how it could hurt anything.

I am (and I think most growers on here) just want to get shit done the easiest most efficient way. Doing things by feel or determining what fix is needed by visuals/experience. Thats not for everyone so you do you

I'm not planning on graphing the data or anything, that was just an example of what a bullet journal could be used for. I was just looking for a layout for recording agar plates, spawn, and maybe rexording experiments with different substrates and spawn material. I've seen quite a few people talk about using an alphanumeric system for their agar plates. People in the bullet journaling community like to share their spreads with each other, so I figured I'd see if there were any here.
