used a print that was 15 plus years old. Had some metabolites develop because of some rapid temperature changes, but seems to be good. Keep you posted on how it works out.

Very nice, cool to hear thats possible. Was it refrigerated or stored air/water tight over the 15years?

I store all my prints on tinfoil in a zip lock bag, I'll toss it in a box or something. I will put syringes in the fridge, I worry about condensation forming in the fridge so I've never done that.

I recently started some plates of spores from my collection. They are all at least 5 years old. I'm hoping they takw. Some are unique, uncirculated genetics and I have 1st gen prints from a wild Australian print. That was a lot of work.
Looking good bro! Hope you revive those genetics

very cool man, good luck as well on that. Interesting, I have a couple prints from Australia as well. I don't know much about it, besides it's rust print, was told it is called "Golden Hue". But who knows, It gives amazing results.

No agar, just kept in a dry place. Spores are extremely resilient from my experience.

Very nice. Glad there was still some life in them! It's always a shame to loose something that's uncirculated !

No agar? Or do you mean you didn't store it on agar? Did you just make a syringe from the print and went to grain with it?
What variety was this? Looks good

Yup,Straight spore to grain, ( it was an experiment to see if they still had life). Uncertain of the strain, origins from Australia, was told years ago it was a "golden hue". I was very surprised myself as to how fast everything colonized and started to pin. I feel my FAE is dialed in perfect though. Probably why it has gone so well in the fruiting stage.

Thank's man, it's pretty cool. I was doing a little research on spores. Amazing how they can withstand time and changes to climate.

You make some prints or what? I'd love to see these under the scope. Pretty good feeling to see some old spores come right to life. Congrats.
